Dunas Golf Course among the world's golfing elite

Something unprecedented and memorable has happened on the international golf scene with the prestigious Dunas Golf Course. Part of Vanguard Properties' "Terras da Comporta" project, Dunas has gained a prominent place in the Golf World Top-100: Best Golf Courses in Europe ranking.

Even more impressive is that Dunas Golf Course has become the first Portuguese candidate to break into the top-10, as well as being the first new golf course to take one of the top spots. In addition to this, Dunas is only the second course on the Iberian Peninsula to join this exclusive club, after the renowned Valderrama, which hosted the Ryder Cup in 1997.

It’s worth mentioning that Dunas was designed by the Scottish golf architect David McLay Kidd, who is a highly respected name in the sport. His undeniable talent was plain to see at the inauguration of the 18-hole course on 5th October. Since then, Dunas Golf Course has garnered various honours, including the coveted titles of "World’s Best New Golf Course 2023" and "Europe’s Best New Golf Course 2023" at the prestigious World Golf Awards.
