Vanguard extends Pedro “Figgy” Figueiredo sponsorship

Vanguard Properties has renewed its support for Pedro “Figgy” Figueiredo during 2024, maintaining the player’s status as the brand's international ambassador on the DP World Tour, Europe's most important golf circuit.

“Figgy” became a rising star as a junior amateur after winning a surprising number of international tournaments. Initially a member of Portuguese and European teams, he moved to Los Angeles, playing for UCLA while studying economics at the prestigious west coast university. After graduating, he turned pro, achieving good results at the major European golf competition.

For José Cardoso Botelho, CEO of Vanguard Properties Portugal, Pedro “Figgy” Figueiredo is “the biggest name in Portuguese golf”, whose sponsorship shows the company's commitment to the sport and its younger players. Part of the “Terras da Comporta” project, which includes developing two 18-hole golf courses (the now-open Dunas Golf Course and the Torre Golf Course, scheduled to open in the first half of 2025), Vanguard Properties' partnership with Pedro Figueiredo, which began in 2021, consolidates the close ties it has with the world of golf.
