Vanguard Properties announces Inês Belchior as ambassador for its golf courses
Vanguard Properties has just announced Inês Belchior, one of Portugal's most promising golfers, as the new “ambassador” for its golf courses, Dunas Golf Course and Torre Golf Course, part of the Terras da Comporta project.
Aged just 17 and still an amateur, Inês Belchior is currently the Absolute National Champion, a title she won in 2022 and repeated in 2023, while also holding the titles of National Amateur and Under-18 Champion. She was also the first Portuguese woman to pass the cut in a Ladies European Tour tournament, a significant milestone for Portuguese women's golf and a reflection of her talent and dedication.
“I am very excited to be joining Vanguard Properties and to represent these two fantastic courses. Both Dunas and Torre are world-class projects and it is a privilege to be able to join this commitment to excellence in golf,” says Inês Belchior.
Rodrigo Ulrich, Director of Golf at Vanguard Properties, said: “The arrival of Inês Belchior as an ambassador for our courses represents a natural step in our strategy of supporting national talent. Inês is an athlete with a bright future and we are sure that this partnership will help to consolidate Terras da Comporta as a leading international golf destination.”
Vanguard Properties believes that success is built on the pillars of excellence, dedication and attention to detail, principles that guide all its projects, including its golf courses. It was with this vision that it decided to support Inês Belchior and Pedro “Figgy” Figueiredo, who has already been a Vanguard Properties ambassador since 2020. Both represent the ambition, talent and commitment needed to compete at the highest level and reinforce the real estate developer's link to the development of national golf.
It should also be noted that the Dunas Golf Course and Torre Golf Course have been designed to provide exceptional playing experiences in a unique landscape setting. The Dunas Golf Course, designed by David McLay Kidd, is among the most prestigious courses in the world, while the Torre Golf Course, designed by the iconic player Sergio Garcia and scheduled to open in the second half of 2025, promises to raise the standard of the sport even higher in Portugal.
